Software QA Manager

Summary:
As a QA Manager, you will be leading the QA team working in an Agile Environment to ensure we release the software applications and features with the best quality possible with a limited time frame. You will help design and implement testing strategies and guide other QA team members to make sure established QA processes and principles are followed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the effort of designing, and developing testing frameworks and overall testing strategies and processes.
  • Lead the effort of designing, and developing testing automation framework and scripts for different levels.
  • Establish and document QA processes and principles, guide the QA team to follow.
  • Manage and guide other QA team members in Test strategy, Test cases/suites design.
  • Lead the QA team to ensure we release the software applications and features with the best quality possible with a limited time frame.
  • Participate in testing the software applications and features using test suites and scripts, perform anomaly reporting, software defects analysis.
  • Perform functional, API, performance testing, usability testing, regression testing, security testing, etc. 
  • When required, work with the DevOps team for process automation of development, testing, and deployment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a QA Lead or QA Manager role and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Software QA principles, best practices, and methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices. Understanding the importance of testing during the software development process.
  • Solid knowledge about functional testing, API testing, performance testing, usability testing, regression test, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills. Have the ability to find the root cause of the problem. 
  • Experience with test suites/test cases design.
  • Experience in developing automated scripts in C#/Java/Python using Selenium web driver, have experience in using Automation Test Frameworks.
  • Knowledge and experience with API testing.
  • Experience with Outsystems is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of data-driven testing framework, BDD is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of using JIRA Bug Tracking tools and Test Management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write clear anomaly reports.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL.
  • Understanding of continuous integration tools such as TeamCity, Octopus, or equivalent preferred. 
  • Completed the ISTQB foundation level certification/ISTQB Agile Tester certification preferred.
