DevOps Engineer

If you are passionate, innovative and self‐motivated, we are inviting you to join our team. We're on the hunt for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team. This DevOps engineer will assume an invaluable role in ensuring the long-term stability and scalability of our services. They will assist in building internal applications and tools to improve efficiency, automation, and system monitoring for our continuous delivery pipeline. A key requirement is the ability to collaborate with development, the motivation to learn new technologies, and the drive to continuously ensure that the end product is a high-performing, highly available and secure platform that our customers trust.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Minimize manual work through automation.
  • Instrument infrastructure and services with monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing tools.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, drive incident resolution, live troubleshooting and impact mitigation.
  • Lead and Maintain discipline around build and release operations, best-practices, and protocols across the entire development team
  • Run and Maintain different Product environments (dev, staging, sandbox, production).
  • Support DevOps Lead with scripting and programming to deploy and operate our system.
  • Help architect, build and deploy secure infrastructure in support of Bruin Dev teams including standards for vmware/docker environments, load balancers, and Kubernetes Cluster.

Desired Qualifications

  • A DevOps engineer with experience of embedding security into the fabric of an organization and infrastructure.
  • Excited by the challenge of making systems and processes both secure and easy to use (No old-school-ops!).
  • A proactive thinker who makes data-driven decisions and can manage complex initiatives from conception to deployment.
  • Experienced with operational monitoring tools
  • Highly personally credible; your integrity means everything to you.
  • A strong project manager.
  • Are local and able to work in our New York downtown office daily.
